Jay Peterson Signs is a proud part of the exciting revival in the age old craft of custom, handlettered and hand carved sign making. For over 40 years, we've dedicated ourselves to preserving and re-invigorating many of the traditional methods and skills handed down from one generation to another for centuries. 

In the 80s and 90s, many of the old skills were hastily discarded in favor of the quick and efficient process of computer-generated vinyl graphics. While we are never going back to an era that does not involve digital graphics, there is an a vibrant new sign era taking place which embraces many traditional methods and their classic, personal touch, while embracing the efficiency of the tools hidden within our computers! 

The process of searching out a supplier is a task which some people take on once every few years, once in a lifetime, or on an ongoing basis. The experienced sign maker can help you decide what you need. Too often, a person desiring a well-designed, well-crafted sign will go to the local "quickie" print shop as a first and last resort, searching for a perfect steak at drive-through burger prices. The results are at times the reason for many calls we receive for a sign that better executed by a blend of traditional and modern methods.
